About

Bringing together a multidisciplinary team of eight researchers with specific and complementary expertise, the Social Justice and Structural Violence Research Team (VI-J) is dedicated to the in-depth examination of structural violence and the successive demands for justice reform. The program target is to arrive at a new theoretical postulate that allows for a critical analysis of legal-social responses to violence and inequality. These responses are positioned on a continuum from structural violence to social justice. Born in 2020, Vi-j benefits from a grant from the Fonds de Recherche-Société et Culture (FRQ-SC).
