The lecture [in French only] will be given by Évelyne Corriveau, a doctoral student in criminology at Université Laval, who will talk about the results of her master's thesis, which was directed by Stéphane Leman-Langlois, a full professor at the School of Social Work and Criminology, who will lead the discussions following the lecture.
"The purpose of this talk is to present the results of qualitative research carried out as part of my master's thesis, in which I collected the experiences of fifteen citizens living near Glencore's Horne smelter in Rouyn-Noranda in the summer of 2023. It aims to share the experiences of the people I met, who expressed suffering repercussions on their health; being subjected to implausible constraints and constant stress, sometimes leading to a deterioration in their well-being."
